Party of six outside on a beautiful evening. Restaurant service is a disaster. Waitress paid little attention to orders. The Hawaii sandwich ordered by one never arrived. The waiter said the kitchen missed the sandwich but it would be here shortly. Came back later and said it would be a while. Everyone had finished eating. Manager gave a half hearted apology. Everyone was stunned with the insincere approach. They did offer the sandwich in a to go bag at no charge. Was surprised at how unprofessional the approach of the restaurant was. Understand mistakes are made in service businesses but t Chetola was unacceptable.Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, Ken. We take our reviews very seriously as we use them as a basis to improve our guest's experience. We regret to hear about your unsatisfactory dining experience. We strive to provide the best service to each and every customer and understand we didn't make our mark. I'll have to say that we enjoyed our dining here a lot. The atmosphere is nice and despite what we had read, the vast majority of people were dressed quite casually. It didn't feel like an upscale, up Market restaurant that we were out of class in. Our server, Heather, really made the meal exceptional. She was friendly, very professional, made recommendations when asked and make sure that the meal flowed perfectly. Each course from the James River oysters to the roasted beetroot and feta salad, to the prime rib was presented well, had great blendings of flavors, and the right proportion. We ended the meal with a sweet potato pie - a nightly special that was a creation of the chef. Really liked it as it was not overly sweet and not overly heavy, but the perfect ending to the meal.Thank you for your recent visit and your kind words.We look forward to serving you again in the near future.

I totally enjoyed everything at Peddler Steak House. The service was excellent. My drink order was taken right away. I ordered bourbon. It was a very nice sized pour for $8. My food order was taken immediately after that. I ordered the 12 oz. Peddler steak. The salad bar was very adequate. I got some of the French Onion soup which was delicious! They had warm rolls! on the bar. The steak was perfectly done. I ordered it medium- well. The taste was incredible! Very tender, It was the best steak I have ever had. And this restaurant is not a high priced steak house. The baked potato was also very good. I ordered creme brulee for dessert. The dish was still warm . The sugar coating was still warm. Like the title said, It was an overall great experience. The only negative is I live in Frankfort, KY. Boone, NC is too far! Otherwise I would eat there weekly.

All the local restaurants were booked- so we ate here- and the steaks were luscious.Jasmine our server was lovely. Salads came out- and we were given plenty of time to eat them before the entrees were served- and the bread and butter- luscious. Steaks and new fried chicken entree were perfect!
