Seven of us dined at the Gaucho Grill in Downey for a birthday celebration. Grilled meat is prominent on the menu. They feature an option where your entrée can be ordered gaucho style. These are more than enough for two to three people. We ordered 3 orders of skirt steak which allowed us to choose six sides to accompany the entrees. We ordered the garlic fries, smoked potatoes (delicious), grilled vegetables, cream corn, mushrooms and a chopped salad. About 2/3 of one of the steak orders was taken home with a smattering of the grilled vegetables. These are very generous portions. Skirt steak was $42 gaucho style which is a bargain when you figure it is feeding two to three people. The corkage charge is a modest $15. Our service was very good. I almost forgot to mention the chimichurri. Fabulous on the bread they serve with it and on the steaks. Years ago, we had one in Brea but it closed. We never knew why but I wish they were back.

We came her for a special treat and were not disappointed. Treated like Queens. From having our Cesar salad tossed table side to the fish prepared to perfection, this is old school Hollywood in a very swanky little nook of Pico Rivera. The interior and exterior is a nod to the past. Every inch was something delightful to behold. We can't wait to come back again!!

This place is great for family and fun. I go here all the time for happy hour, and had my sons dinner. The service is friendly and very accommodating. We had a great time, and the food is amazing, delicious. Very generous portions and fair priced. And if you love salsa... This is the spot, dinner and dancing all in one.

My husband found this gem, and suggested we check it out for a late dinner. It's sleek and cool...like something you'd find in Los Feliz or Silverlake, except it's in Downey and easily a few minutes from our house. The bar has an amazing selection of beers and whiskeys. The cocktails are artisan and delicious. The food is very good, too. The best thing we had on the menu was the Buffalo Cauliflower. It's pretty simple cauliflower cooked in buffalo sauce...it was different and interesting. I couldn't stop eating it. The duck confit fries were good, but the confit was a bit dry. My husband's burger was very good. We wanted to try the churro fries for dessert, but they were all out for the night. It's so nice to find a cool watering hole close to home...it's always a pain to go into the city to find a quality place for good drinks and food.
