With friends, we visited this quaint old village pub in the quiet village of Misson. The landlords, Elaine and Michael, proved to be the perfect hosts. We were shown to outdoor seating to take pre-dinner drinks and view the enticing menu. Michael, the chef, came to our table to answer our menu questions while Elaine served the drinks. Our starters of calamari and classic prawn cocktail were well received. The main dishes were even better including salmon and prawns in a thermidor sauce. The special beef wellington had a perfectly cooked steak sandwiched by pate and a beautiful fluff pastry case. With desserts, drinks and gratuities the bill came to £45 per head, well worth it for such perfect food and friendly service.

Lunch here is very good, nice menu, good vegetarian choice very good service and very tasty meal, the chips are to die for a really delicious and reasonably priced meal, definitely will be back

Been in this place several times since it was taken over (was Coleman's before this), enjoyed every time , the staff are very polite and helpful, chefs are very knowledgeable and cook to perfection fresh well presented meals, quite prepared to go off menu to satisfy.Recently visit for wifes birthday with a party of 10 and opted for Chefs platter which was very varied and delicious (there was vegetarians in the party who loved their choices as much as the meat lovers) well worth a try it in a larger group.Overall a nice dining experience , added bonus of a very nice bar in the actual pub to relax in or party on after the meal, go once and you will go again!
