This is not your typical restaurant as it has more of a honky thonk atmosphere with waite staff occasional lined up to line dance. It is loud between music and a full house. The service is good and the food ordered comes out promptly. The food is good as well as the temperature. The area inside and out is well cleaned with good parking available. Access is readily available also. Depending when you arrive be prepared to wait for a table. If in the Altoona area this would be a good place to eat.

I was very impressed with the LongHorn Steakhouse in Altoona, my steak was cooked perfectly and was an excellent cut of meat. The staff were friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was insanely busy. Having visited other LongHorn steakhouses the chefs at the restaurant were definitely better at this location.

Hossâs Steak and Sea House is a family restaurant featuring fresh-cut steaks, seafood, and tender chicken entreesâ¦all cooked to order! Enjoy our fresh and wholesome Soup & Salad Bar with homemade soups, just-baked breads, fresh fruits, delicious desserts,
Don't understand the "bland" reviews of Hoss's Restaurant. Recently had my first experience there and before we were half way through, we mutually decided we would return the next evening, dinner again. Only downside, being from Baltimore we can say, don't order the crab cake! But we found the soup bar, salad bar, and dessert bar to be more than scrumptious. Extensive selections; cool, fresh, crisp salad. So fresh with vibrant color of the fruits and veggies! Spotless restaurant! Not a pea dropped into the red onion. Not a drop of soup spilled on the serving area. Prices very reasonable. Attractive, spacious, clean restaurant with yummy foods! Very pleased.

Stopped in for dinner. It was mid-afternoon so we did not need to wait at all. Service was prompt and polite. Ordered rum punch and tingling with an appetizer of the Aussie Sampler. It was delicious with a variety of flavors. Our main courses were the ribeye which was cooked perfectly at medium well and the âAliceâ chicken with mushrooms and cheese. Great flavors. Our server, Dylan checked on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was delicious and also one of the Managers came to verify all was going well. We will definitely be back!
