Super lecker, der neue "Spanier" El Jamon in Wuppertal. In nettem Ambiente verbrachten wir mit Freunden nette Stunden bei vorzüglichen spanischen Leckereien mit einem klassischen Rijocha der vorzüglich mündete.Bitte unbedingt vorab reservieren, da sehr beliebt, sonst keine Chance auf einen Platz. Wer einen netten spanischen Abend im Bergischen verbringen möchte, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Wir kommen garantiert gerne wieder. Wuppertals derzeit bestes Spanische Restaurant, ohne Ãbertreibung. Und Preis-Leistung stimmt ebenfalls.

Cosy tapas' place on the Aue with very friendly service. The tapas are on average quite big, heavy on the garlic, but we love it. They bring us a bruschetta 'on the house'. Then we order olives, marinated peppers, potatoes with aïoli, chorizo, meatballs with vegetables, garlic champignons, and baby calamares. I particularly recommend the baby calamares and the chorizo: very tasty! The rest was nice but not special. The half litre carafe of Rioja was lovely. It's a good option in the area.

We looked for this restaurant based on the review from the new magazine 'So schmeckt Wuppertal!', and to have a last meat feast before starting on a vegan diet. We have already visited a few spanish restaurants in Wuppertal, but this one didn't ring a bell... the name is not spanish! And to be honest, it is not an area of Wuppertal that we know at all. Now we have found it, we will treasure it! The atmosphere is friendly and a bit pub-like. the service is extremely welcoming and personal. We skipped the Tapas for some mighty meat main courses: some lamb rack recommended by the house and a pork dish... absolutely top quality and flavour! Highly recommended! We will come back for tapas!

We returned to the Meson Alegria after many years, as we had fond memories of a meal there, and once again we were not disappointed. We had 11 tapas between the 2 of us, that's almost all of them (yes, we were hungry) and they were all excellent. The crema catalana was also delicious. The atmosphere is nice, if the lighting a bit too bright. The price of 2,60 per Tapa is more than adequate, it's a very good deal! 1 point removal due to the service, which was friendly enough but lacked smile (it is the Meson Alegria after all...)
