Reviews on Spanish food in Panama City, Panama Province, Panama. A diverse multicultural city of almost 1.3 million, Panama City offers a lot more than an up-close view of the Canal. We had a very pleasant lunch after a nice walk around the Casco Viejo neighborhood. We got five different tapas to share between us two, plus two frozen margaritas. It was more than enough food, as the portions were quite generous. Loved the patatas bravas and the ham croquettes; the manchego cheese and bread topped with tomatoes were excellent as well. Before paying the bill we were gifted with two cups of champagne, which was a very nice experience. Absolutely pleased!I'm glad that you were very well! I hope you can back soon.

So, we're a family of four and life is never dull. We were staying nearby at The Bristol and we were keen to have some nice seafood. We were tired from a long day and decided not to do our usual 'you'll eat what you're given and you'll enjoy it' and found out they could do chicken fingers or fish fingers (our sons are 8&9) and decided to go and get ourselves some dinner. The wait staff were pleasant and the dining room is lovely - I enjoyed the art on display - however the ceviche was very average and the citrus dressing was even a bit astringent (and served with crackers vs the lovely plantain chips served by everyone else!) and the mixed fish platter was extremely disappointing for the price - it wasn't huge and the fish was far from exceptional in a place where it should have been. We were told there would be pulpo (octopus) but there was none (and lots of overcooked little bullets of clams and mussels) and despite all this we didn't say anything - which is admittedly pathetic but we were tired and wanted a quiet life. We tipped well and we were happy to be out for the evening. At the end they gave our sons a bunch of extra crackers as a 'regalo' which was honestly more than a little weird. The restaurant promises much but in our experience, it didn't deliver. Even the wine list was a little bit underwhelming. We know good seafood, and this was not it. Perhaps we caught it on a bad night or a bit too late in the evening - but they felt off their game. Three stars is kind. We don't live in Panama City but we wouldn't actually go back or recommend it to friends who will visit in the future.

We stopped for dinner at this restaurant as it was crowded and we thought this is a good sign. The restaurant does not have English menus and the staff does not speak English. There was one waiter who was supposed to speak English but he was not very helpfull. The food was average and quite overpriced. I would not recommend it.

An old fashioned and quite expensive Spanish restaurant, offering classical Iberic recipes. We ordered a fish mousse (not bad, but not very well explained: the menu spoke about pastela frita de peixe), loabster soup (very poor, I suppose it was made of prawns, not of a real loabster), stockfish with vegetables (hypersalty, quite impossible to eat). The only really good dish was a crunchy and delicious grilled octopus. Decent red wine of the house (though it was not declared from where region and from what grapes it cam from), very fragrant Spanish olive oil and fresh bread offered as amuse gueule. Too few to make the dinner satisfactory. Not recommended
