Reviews on Spanish food in Baguio, Benguet Province, Philippines. Baguio, perched high in the Cordillera Central Mountains, is a great place to escape the heat of the Philippine lowlands. Camp John Hay, originally built as a recreation area for U.S. soldiers, now is a full-fledged resort complete with a world-class golf course. Definitely stop at the city market, where you can buy almost anything (just be prepared to haggle).

A Miele Guide-awarded restaurant located in the historic Casa Vallejo. Our menu ranges from Spanish to slow-cooked meals inspired by hill stations.
After we settled in our hotel, we were looking for lunch and since Hill Station was just a 3 min walk away, this was where we headed.Upon entering, the aroma of food and coffee wafts in the air as the hill station coffee shop is in the foyer/lobby of the ground floor of the Casa Vallejo hotel. You walk past the coffee shop to the main dining area and the greenery of lush pine trees outside greets you from the big breezy windows. The kitchen is semi open so you can see the activity in there, there is also a pasalubong corner if you need a grab and go for your own snacks or to bring home. The food was excellent, I enjoyed my seafood pasta and my daughter enjoyed her chicken. We had mixed feelings at first with the appetizer but ate it all up anyway as the crunch on the nut dip was getting better and more enjoyable the more we ate it.Looking forward to dine here again on our next Baguio trip

My family has been visiting Mario's in Baguio since I was a little child and I must say I'm disappointed by how the coziness of the restaurant has changed. It is not as cozy anymore. The lighting is awful. It is not the Mario's of old. Food presentation horrible. I'm not a food critic but for the level of Mario's the food presentation isn't so great. :(((The steaks of course, are a safe choice. I was disappointed with the salpicao which they served on a deconstructed plate of rice which appeared terribly unappealing. They did the same thing to the salpicon (with shrimp). Pasta was delicious. Gambas was so-so. The food, depending on what you order can be very good to just ok.The waiters were extremely accommodating. I love them. :)

We discovered that Cafe Adriana has good food by accident. We just dropped by there to have coffee after a disappointing breakfast in Cafe Batirol. We saw calamares on the menu and ordered it as well. We were impressed by the taste and quality of both the calamares and its dip. Well, what can we say, Cafe Adriano is by Hill Station. Since we noticed that their breakfast menu is reasonable at around an average of 200 pesos, we decided to eat there the following morning. Cafe Adriana did not disappoint again. We had their 2 kinds of longganiza, bangus and baboy damo (wild pig). All were good and anything you order in the breakfast set menu included their top rated coffee. We also had their death by chocolate which sends you to chocolate nirvana. Btw, they have also tapang usa in their breakfast menu. They also have a number of Spanish items for their dinner menu. Their good food is complemented with good service and classic ambiance. When you walk out to the patio, the view is beautiful. The restaurant itself is located inside the Outlook Ridge Condotel by DMCI. The restroom was clean during our first visit but the floor was wet though clean when we had breakfast there.
