Find out what Southwestern restaurants to try in Danbury. The strangers on Alfred Hitchcock's most famous train began their journey at Danbury, Connecticut's main station, along with thousands of other travelers over time. Now converted into the Danbury Railway Museum, the station and yards are open to visitors, with a collection of historic railroad cars and equipment. Just a few miles outside of the city's pretty historic center is Bear Mountain Reservation, a quiet forest parkland with hiking trails overlooking the calm waters of Candlewood Lake.

On long drive home from PA and Danbury seemed like the spot to break up the day. Wound up here and was very impressed. Quiet lunch but place was very nice. When food arrived everyone had pretty basic stuff salads and wraps but all different and all 8 of us were impressed. Definitely recommend especially if it was warm the patio outside looked like it would be nice. As for the building restaurant is very nice but bathrooms need to updating ASAP, felt like I was in my old Junior High.

Burrito bowls are always tasty, but the freshness lacks quality. Chicken is my go to, with black beans, salsa, cheese and lettuce topped with sour cream over rice. Wish they served it with nachos you didn't have to pay extra for.

The service at Salsa Fresca was good; friendly employees. The food is good â not out of this world. Itâs similar to Chipotle, but with smaller portions for the same price. The fountain drinks are by Boylan which is headquartered in NYC and offers flavors like Cream Soda and Birch Beer which is a nice change. The interior is industrial with metal table tops. Like Chipotle, you can make your own burrito or choose one of the specialties. We ordered the ground beef burrito and the buffalo ranch burrito which came with chips and salsa. Would we go back? Ehh. Maybe, but I think you get a better value at Chipotle.

I usually visit this chiliâs when Iâm in town on business just because itâs next to the hotel. Chiliâs new menu is absolutely horrible in my opinion. Portions are small and taste is just blah. The service at this location was pretty bad too. My waiter was fairly friendly but seemed preoccupied and wasnât very attentive to his work. Overall I donât recommend this restaurant unless you have no other options
