Usually seaside touristic places for families do not offer great quality food.It was therefore a pleasant surprise to discover this authentic Neapolitan pizza place in Follonica.The location is really authentic and the pizza is simply marvelous.Definitely recommended

Excellent! That's the word for their pizza and service. Small pizzeria in the corner of the street. Not many place for parking but we found it exactly in front of this pizzeria. Pizza is about 5-6⬠with big portion. You can eat there or just take away.

We were on vacation in Tuscany with our family and decided to have dinner at Il Gattopardo - we saw positive feedback on tripadvisor and took a chance. I liked everything: from the good location of the restaurant on the waterfront with a view of the sea and fantastically beautiful sunset, attentive staff (the director of the hall himself went out to tell about all the details of the menu) to the most delicious dishes of Tuscan and Sicilian cuisine. My family and I decided that since we are at sea, we will eat seafood. First of all, we ordered rose wine - it was just the color of the sunset over Follonica. As an antipasto (appetizer) we tasted squids and cod in batter (yummy!), then we got arancini (these are such crispy fried rice balls with saffron and stuffing made of tender stuffing with capers and cornichons). As first course I chose lasagna with fish (the freshest fish caught by fishermen in the morning), as second course I ordered tuna on a bed of caponata (a traditional Sicilian dish, a kind of vegetable stew made of eggplants stewed together with other vegetables). Sicilian cannoli (the finest dough straws with fresh ricotta) and a glass of sweet Passito alleatico dell'isola d'Elba wine were our dessert - a pure delight! Finally, my father-in-law ordered coffee (he had a tender almond biscuits in a crystal vase, and while he was drinking coffee, we ate all his cookies quickly), my mother-in-law ordered a limoncello - that's the taste of summer and Italy! The restaurant manager told us that in order to get such an incredible fresh taste in limoncello, it is necessary that the lemon crust be soaked in alcohol for exactly 21 days, not a day more! The wonderful meal really made our evening!

Mi sono fatto invogliare dai commenti positivi, ma non sempre paga... Il locale è carino, anche se spartano, il personale gentile anche se non proprio tutto tutto :)I prodotti non sono male, ma l impasto della pizza davvero niente di che. Sono solito prendere la margherita per assaggiare la qualità , e questo impasto ha poco gusto e carattere. Peccato, la premessa sembrava migliore
