The food here is super fresh and soooo good! I canât get enough and love to come back. They are nice to families with children and will alter menu if needed. Interior is small and usually packed with patrons. I recommend arriving early. Sometimes thereâs a line outside the door. Itâs worth the wait.

Nestled in the heart of the Historic District between The Lucas & Trustees Theaters.
My wife and I were walking along Broughton Street one early afternoon when we came upon The District Cafe & Eatery, a corner restaurant with a large sign advertising their signature drink, âChamoozies,â a mixture of frozen fruit puree and champagne. Curious as to how it would taste, we entered the restaurant and decided to have lunch. As soon as we sat down, my wife asked the waitress for a lime chamoozie from among several daily flavors. It was served in a very tall glass, much larger than we had expected. The drink was absolutely delicious. It was now time to order our food. I selected their BAT (bacon, avocado and tomato) housed in a pressed panini, accompanied by a small bag of potato chips. My wife opted for âThe District Choppedâ salad (greens, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, bleu cheese, candied pecans and roast chicken). What makes District Cafe stand out is that many of the ingredients on your plate are organic, coming from local farms, farmersâ markets and artisans. Their coffees are locally-roasted as well. Breads, sauces and dressings are made in-house. Equally deserving of praise is the fact that both owners and employees demonstrate an acute awareness of the environment, from the furniture being constructed of recycled wood to the waitstaff sorting trash for recycling after cleaning off a customerâs table. If you are looking for a locally-owned, eco-friendly restaurant with excellent food, The District Cafe & Eatery is the place to be.

Experience genuine Savannah flavor while dining in an 1820's King Cotton Warehouse watching the merchant ships float by. Enjoy local favorites such as crispy scored flounder, shrimp & grits, filet mignon and fresh lobster. Save room for our signature dess
Took a chance for a table on a Saturday evening. Very friendly folks, sat us right away and service continued to be great throughout the meal. I enjoyed the Grouper Florentine, along with a cup of their Crab/Shrimp Bisque. Both were served hot and very tasty. Nice wine menu. We had walked all day and this was a great end to the day before we headed back to our hotel. Reservations are a good idea, we came very early - 5:30 so that helped, but when we left there was a 30 minute wait!Thank you very much for your review! We're glad you had a good time with us.
