We reserved a table to be greated by a frosty host. Our first course was enjoyable but that's as far as it went, second was better but unfortunately we were put off by the recycled crackers and bread. we noticed they were recycling them. All the crackers and bread baskets were emptied into the draw of the dresser and then taken out for the next table. This horrified us. Even the chef was using the bread that had been picked up by other patrons to use in other meals. They then still had the cheek to charge â¬4 for this. I'm afraid this to me is unacceptable and a complete waste of â¬85. Such a shame but be warned...Cara Cate B.mi fa sorridere questa tua recensione visto l'alto tenore di stupidaggine in essa contenuta. Saluti.

Came here on the back of positive reviews. Left underwhelmed after a positive start.Sardinian pasta was very nice, comes as semi soup with semolina balls, basil, garlic and mussels. Would recommend and did enjoy. This is not a typical pasta dish though and is advertised as spaghetti rather than semolina. Got mixed seafood grill and fried seafood platter. Although frozen, the prawns were probably the best thing about the dish, which speaks volumes. Fish ranged from just cooked to the squid being extremely overdone to the point of it being inedible. We left most of the mains and left disappointed. The cooking was reminiscent of old Keith Floyd footage and I thought struggled to in any way innovate. Despite this, it still took 1 hour 45 from start to finish. Also, they charge for table service which always makes me negate tipping. Was not cheap either but par for the course in Olbia; £75 for 2 first and 2 second courses and half bottle of wine.

Were staying for a week at Hilton Doubletree and Googled where served suckling pig and Barbagia came up - added bonus it was not too far about 15 minute walk from the hotel.Walked there on way into Olbia last Thursday morning and dropped in to book a table for that evening. Very young lad told us no problem, took the time and asked whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. However took no name.Arriving 7.30pm there were three tables outside taken. Waited to be seen, no one came, went into the restaurant and said we had booked. Looked at bookings and asked our names as there was no booking. We explained who we had spoken to but he wasn't there. Finally the Waiter took us to an outside table. No one spoke English which we had seen in the reviews, so we had our phone, phrase book and menu. Polite woman took our order and having read other reviews we decided not to have starters but go straight for the suckling pig.Ordered bottle of Pinot and water and given bread fairly quickly and then waited around 45 minutes for the pig. Restaurant soon filling up.Noticed many Italians amongst these so thought that was a good sign.Pig served on big platter and came with potatoes - fantastic - was loads but could have done with a little something to cut through all that meat and potatoes. We finished and waited for table to be cleared for about 30 minutes. No one caught our eye. It was a full restaurant so we made allowances and eventually my husband caught the waiter who came and he asked if we wanted the bill. We said not yet we'd like dessert and coffee can we have a menu?Waiter came back five minutes later with menu. And then we waited and waited my husband called and gestured politely four times to various staff but it was like we were invisible! We noticed the Italians were treated well much laughing and joking, very jovial and I understand the language barrier but that's no excuse!Eventually we looked at each other and said enough! We'll go get ice cream from the shop a few yards down that was recommended. Husband went up to pay the bill and stood and waited whilst the owner? Manager? Started an argument with the waitress. Then she started to sort the bill and ended up in another argument, then they disappeared. Eventually he was able to pay and we left and got the ice cream - highly recommended and great friendly service despite not much English from the server or Italian from us - see it can be done!As we were there a week we would have gone back as the suckling pig was so good but we couldn't sit through that again so looked for alternatives. What a shame, feel quite put out that so many reviewers said how great the service is yet that wasn't our experience.
