Searching ramen found this place on TripAdvisor and what an experience arrived just after 6 and joined queue. Menu easy to understand as is ticket ordering machine. Only 20 minute wait. The atmosphere aroma and food made it must do if visiting Kyoto. The meal were a good size and so packed with flavour. Most other diners were regulars. Highly recommend if you want the true ramen experience.

When we visited Kyoto the day was very windy, cold and rainy, so we really needed something to warm us up, and what better than ramen? This shops is easy to located, close to the train station and, despite being small, it is efficient and the queue moves quickly. We arrived just on time, before the lunch rush, so we purchased our tickets from the vending machine and sat immediately. We ordered a soy sauce-based ramen, which was lighter than regular pork-based ramen but was nonetheless very good, and a chicken and pork ramen, which was in my opinion out of this world. Different from your usual ramen, thicker, tasted like pureed meat, with nice and flavorful slices of meat, some mushroom and seaweed. Noodles were al dente as we like.Service was super friendly, and they took pride in what they serve.Money well spent here, I totally recommend you a visit after visiting Fushimi Inari.

All for delivering a memorable one bowl⦠KYOTO ENGINE Ramen is welcoming and entertaining the customers with âthe elaborate dishes created sparing no effortâ and âhigh-quality spaceâ using âthe carefully selected ingredients produced in western Japan area
Engine Ramen is a fantastic restaurant, particularly if you have any dietary restrictions. I had gluten free ramen for the first time and was blown away. The staff were great and really helpful, and the food was brilliant whether gluten free or standard. Would highly recommend a visit.

Ippudo, our ramen restaurant, was first established in 1985 in Hakata, Fukuoka. Currently in 2017, we have over 100 stores throughout Japan. In 1990, our founder, Shigemi Kawahara, entered the Hall of Fame for winning the the ramen competition of the show
After wandering town looking for dinner we decided to come to this place based on TripAdvisor reviews. After a wait of about 30 minutes around 7.30 we finally got into the restaurant. Quick service as our orders were taken while we were in the queue. We ordered the classic ramen for all (3 kids included) and some soft boiled eggs. Absolutely delicious and well worth the wait. Definitely would go back again.
