The restaurant was nice and in a nice area. The staff were friendly, but the food wasn't really good.Hi there, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your food. Did you mention to your server that you were unhappy? We train our staff to to immediately offer another menu item if a customer is not pleased with what they have ordered. We have many, many return customers who tell us and on social media how happy they are with the food we have serve. It would be great to know exactly what you didn't like the food. Please message me- [email protected] and we'd be happy to send you a gift certificate so you can give us another try and find out what went wrong for you. Thanks,Lisa

Homemade comfort food, large portions with great prices. We support local and have 8 local craft beers and ciders on tap. Dishes made from scratch with love at this family run business. We have breakfast, lunch and dinners, all with ample portions. Some o
What a pleasant surprise at 1860. We sat out side to enjoy our scrumptious meal. I would return here many times. The inside seating was perfectly matched with the layout of the house. Our waitress was adorable even though the place got very busy after we arrived. So, our food - yum - BLT with a summer salad & homemade tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich - so very tasty. Highly recommend Circa 1860 for delicious homemade food and relaxing atmosphere.

We ate here since we were staying in Mahone Bay and the ratings were good. Well we differ with the ratings big time. The Chowder which is alleged to have received awards was terrible. Very little seafood and lots of filler. My wife had the Haddock which was cooked to death. The Caesar Salad was terrible no anchovies and no taste. the bottled beer was cool and far from cold. Finally there was a creepy guy behind the bar who we assume works there and he was drinking pretty heavily. I guess if you can get a seat outside the scenery might be better, we couldn't.

Come savor a delectable meal at Grand Banker Bar & Grill. Come sit at the bar with a drink. They are open nightly all week and are readily reachable by car.
Great location overlooking the water in historic Lunenburg. Started with the mussels in curry which was unique and very good. A few of the mussels had a foul flavor but most were delicious. We also had the seafood quartet. The salmon was perfect, the breading on the haddock was yummy and scallops were local and delicious. The shrimp was also good. The potatoes seemed like instant potatoes but that was our only complaint. The rum bread pudding was excellent. Our bill was close to 70 CAD but we had a beer and dessert.
