This restaurant is not your typical touristy restaurant, it's a small restaurant in a port, not easy to recognise as it looks like a container, not a restaurant and not easy to access unless you drive or take a taxi. But it's absolutely worth it. They do have menus in various languages like Korean and Chinese and once you decide what you want to eat, you have to go to a coupon machine to order your food and pay for it. Pass the coupons to the staff when you get your seat and wait for your food to arrive. They do serve table by table in sequence accordingly to the queue and the food arrives all at one time for each table, so eating together is a good experience.Highly recommended is the tendon, Okinawa soba and kaisendon. Super fresh, tender and tasty, all at a great price! The shrimp in the tendon are huge and the raw seafood in the kaisendon are as fresh as it can get. For those who do not like seafood, the Okinawan soba was delicious and flavourful. You can pour your own water and tea from a general counter next to the machine.Quite off the typical tourist route but if you drive, it's worth the visit. Do try to come early, we were lucky to score a table immediately upon arrival but after us, the line grew and the restaurant filled up real fast (and it's not a small restaurant with more than 10 tables). Large car park so no concerns if you are driving there.Super highly recommended!

Had the best dinner in our Okinawa visit here in Aguncha Restaurant. This restaurant comes highly recommended by other reviewers and we weren’t disappointed. Rather than ordering a la cat, we took advantage of their 2,000yen 7-course set dinner. Every dish was delicious and wonderfully presented. The set dinner enabled us to tried several Okinawa special cuisines - Agu Pork, sea grapes, Okinawa bitter melon, parrot fish sashimi, grilled fish etc. Quantity was more than sufficient but you won’t be overstuffed. Every dish was excellently prepared, presented and served in a steady but leisurely pace. We didn’t feel rushed. The best thing was that there was an English Menu, most serving staff can speak excellent English and genuinely happy to serve us. The experience made the whole meal feel special. At the end, the restaurant even gave each of us a pair of chopsticks as souvenir. Aguncha is a small restaurant. Reservation is a must. It is very close to the Tomari pier. The set dinner required at least 3 persons in order to order.

I've seen Sushiro restaurants all over Okinawa and visited their facility in Uruma: Japan, 〒904-2215 沖縄県うるま市Midorimachi, 6 Chome−1, 6-1-21.I'm thankful I could read enough kana to know to request a counter seat, vice a table, on the computer. At 8:30pm on a Saturday night, it was rather crowded. So much so they have overflow parking and an attendant to help direct traffic for the overflow. I saw or heard two other groups of English speakers there. The computerized menu has an English option. I ordered some shrimp tempura; it came fairly quickly and my computerized menu played "music" to alert me of my special order's arrival. I can now say I've tried a スシロー, but this hasn't topped my favorite sushi go-round.

Went there when it first opened three years ago and is great place to visit. Like another post mentioned there is no English/picture menu but the chicken, pork and fresh fish dishes are highly recommended. Would definitely recommend trying the corn tempura when he has it in season, one of my favorite dishes.
