First time we've eaten here, but it certainly won't be our last. Wait staff was pleasant and the food was simply amazing! And the portions were huge. We'd heard great things about the restaurant from other people, and we weren't at all disappointed. Thank you for a great experience!!!

At lunch this place is hard to get in and get parked. Service is always good and friendly. My favorite is a blackened flounder sandwich.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have ate here for years but after this last visit I will never go back. The waitress thought my food was to go because I was arriving a few min after ordering even though it was told it was to eat in. Then mine didnât arrive which is understandable but just admit you made a mistake instead of saying it is coming right up. When I got my food, the chicken was tough and everyone else in my party was done eating and at that point my 7 month old was extremely fussy. I asked for a to go box and drink and was ignored. The waitress walked off in the middle of me asking her for one and rolled her eyes. I then went to the hostess stand and asked for one but she was also rude and said she had to check everyone out first. The hostess was actually the manager on duty. She never got me one either. Luckily someone in my party knew the dishwasher and got me one. The dishwasher also got me my to go tea. Mind you I have ate here for years and my family eats here at least once a week. Super sad because I really liked eating here but customer service is everything. I was a waitress during college and understand mistakes happen but I also realized my tip relied on my service so I always went out of my way to make the PAYING customer happy. We apologize for the service issues that you've experienced. We have addressed these issues and we are appreciative of your feedback. We hope that you return so that we may have another chance to serve you a great meal.
Yesterday we stopped at Hook Fish and Chicken at Hwys 19 and 100 in Palatka, FL. We went in and asked if the fish was fried fresh or does it sit under a heat lamp. The sign says "We fry fresh fish" leading us to believe the fish wasn't frozen but upon asking we were told it is frozen fish but we decided to try it anyway.I had the Whiting and shrimp plate and my wife had the shrimp and chicken.Everything was as good we have ever tasted. The food was fried perfectly. It was juicy and flavorful just like you would expect it to be in a good restaurant. It's mainly a take out place so don't expect much in the atmosphere category but the folks are friendly, the place is clean and the service is good.
