I am from Kyoto, and never liked fresh water fish until I moved to Urasa. Urasa Yana can serve wild ayu for very reasonable price. Try Ayu gohan. It is wonderful.

日本海側ならまだしも、魚沼という山奥で寿司なんて美味いものが食えるのは半信半疑でした。まあ居酒屋と割り切って入店。 ドリンク持ち込み可能のようです。日本酒の産地って、結構居酒屋に一升瓶持っていけますよね。私の場合は終始ビールなので、店でオーダーしていましたが 最初のお通しの酢の物を食って、びっくりしました。 タコが入っていたのですが、半端ない弾力。次にお勧めとされる巻物寿司。これはみんな美味いと絶賛していたが、僕個人的にはまあ評価は普通。巻物としてはまあおいしいと思います。ただ値段も1600円くらいで結構いいお値段ですからね。そして刺身あたりで、店の実力を感じることとなる。 サザエ、タコが特に美味い。あとわさびがどこが産地かは知りませんが辛味のパンチがあって美味い。 寿司もシャリが小ぶりでかなり美味しかった。 聞くと佐渡で採れたものを仕入れているそうです。おすすめのお店です。

My family have spent several time in this restaurant. Back to university, we used to catch the school bus to there every Saturdays. The sushi quality here is very good and warm. It is delivered by a small escalator similar to Kichi Kichi hot pot. But it is designed as not beautiful as the one in Koide. In Koide, the escalator is shape in Shinkanshen and children are really into it.
