Things to do in Mildura
On a public holiday Friday was surprised at how quick the order for our fish, chips and scallops was processed. We had not encountered crumbed grilled fish before so ordered this - very good. All very tasty, friendly service. Recommend. Parking easy.

Regular visitor to Mildura but never been to any of the chippies before so Snagged was our first choice as so conveniently located in the CBD on Eighth Street. Not disappointed, friendly service and not too long a wait for everything to be cooked, went for two pieces of fish, medium chips and a couple of Dim Sims. All just right, the chips were golden and crispy but still fluffy on the inside and the fish in a light coating of batter. Snagged also offers some gluten free options according to their menu and does burgers too plus fish and chip combo/value packs. Add your own salt to taste as well so you can control your own blood pressure !!This being our first visit we ordered medium chips, very generous we were two very hungry people but still couldn't eat the lot probably best for 3 people to share.Shop generally well presented with some decorations on the wall and a couple of tables to sit at, no need to eat in though Snagged is just a minutes walk to the Mildura waterfront so that's a great place to take your food and annoy the seagulls by not sharing your chips with them.Would recommend and would happily visit again.

Although not a Mildura local I do visit the city regularly and stay at the Mercure hotel where Bullfish is located, open to Mercure guests and non guests alike Bullfish offers excellent fine dining dinners at a resonable price for what's on offer.I first had dinner there within about the first 2 weeks of the restaurant opening and although this was probaly a stressfull time the staff whether the more experienced or newly employed were all courteous, friendly and helpful and this was still the same in our later visits months on from opening. Rachael is particularly helpful and takes a keen interest in the menu items so can help with recommendations from the menu.Food is excellent with good sized portions which are neither over generous or miniscule which is great because you can enjoy 3 beautiful courses without feeeling totally stuffed. Large wine list, beers , cocktails and mocktails available. There is a separate bar area at Bullfish if you just want to pull up a chair and enjoy a drink.Bullfish also provides the guest breakfasts for the Mercure hotel which includes a variety of hot dishes made to order (which can mean a bit of a wait) and a basic self service continental breakfast. If you are new to Mildura Bullfish is very easy to get to it's just off Deakin Ave on Eighth Street literally adjacent to the main CBD area were most of the bars, takeaways and restaurants are and it's worth walking an extra few metres to get there.Thank you for the lovely review, we are extremely proud of what the team are able to produce and glad you enjoyed the dining experience!Kind regardsThe Bullfish Team
So we were looking around for some takeaway while driving thru town, we saw this place. We should have known judging by the smell of dirty chip oil as soon as you walk in the door. All staff appear dirty and lazy. And it shows in the store presentation. Despite my best intuition I was hungry and so were the kids. Got back to where we were staying opened it up instantly disappointed. Potato cakes so thin you can see thru them, one was no bigger than two 50c coins. Dim sims were cooked from frozen, you could tell by the dry casing and the inside being cold. The fish was advertised as flake. But what we got was whiting, meaning I couldn't eat it. The fish was prebatteted and sitting in a display case waiting to be cooked. Worst mistake they could make, the batter doesn't stick to the fish but does stick to the paper. The batter was also soggy and gross. The tomato sauce that they have the cheek to ask you to pay for was either off or mixed with vinegar. Vile... Don't waste your money!!
