Reviews on Seafood food in Khasab, Musandam Governorate, Oman. Khasab (Arabic: خصب Ḫaṣab) is a city in an exclave of Oman bordering the United Arab Emirates. It is the local capital of the Musandam peninsula and has frequently been dubbed the "Norway of Arabia" because of its extensive fjord-like craggy inlets and desolate mountainscapes.

We re-visited Khasab after 3 years and went back to Al Shamaliah and they have maintained their good standard of food and service. When we got there Abdullah (I think I've got his name right!) recognised us which was a good start. We had the mixed grill and a shish tawouk and both were tasty, freshly cooked and excellent value. Definitely see this as the best of its type in Khasab

I read the reviews and thought it had to be worth visiting, particularly as the reviews for food in my hotel, the Atana, were decidedly mixed. I ate at Aroos twice over a couple of days, trying the grilled fresh fish, as well as chilli prawns. The hot and sour soup was one of the best Iâve ever tasted (and Iâve had quite a few over the years). The grilled fish was cooked perfectly and really tasty and the prawns also excellent. The menu is wide ranging, taking in Indian, Indian Chinese (Chinese food with Indian flavours which is very popular in India) and Arabic. Service is very attentive and helpful, plus there are random free dishes brought out during the meal such as soups, Indian breads, etc. The prices are incredibly good value as well. Noor is a charming host and clearly shows great interest in his guests satisfaction with their food. Overall, a must visit if you are in Khasab.Thank you sir ,we look forward to welcome you back Aroos musandam Restaurant again soon.

Was told to go there by our tour guide. Didn't expect much because we have our favorite mandi restaurant in Dubai. We order fish & chicken mandi. The portions were so big we could barely finish them. They gave us lentil soup as a starter. It was delicious, we had to ask for more. The main dishes were great, the whole thing was only 12 riyals. I highly recommend this place!
We were looking for a fish restaurant and we got the address from a Omani resident. This is a local restaurant with plastic on the table but the fish is fresh and well cooked. The highlights of the evening was the slipper lobster and the mussels. Prices are raisonnable for Musandam
