We went there with friends for a steak dinner. They suggested the escargot and I didn't think there would be enough beer in the world to wash that down. It was actually quite tasty with garlic sauce and toast points. Our steaks were excellent and good service.

We were very excited to try this new, upscale restaurant in downtown Janesville. It is located within a new hotel on the river. They portray themselves as a steakhouse and have prime and dry-aged steaks. The soups and salads were excellent. However, the main courses disappointed. All three steaks were over cooked and the chicken dish was not hot. The sides of asparagus and potatoes were excellent, though. When we raised the issue about the steaks the manager said the kitchen was overwhelmed. She offered to cook a new steak, but we were hungry and had already waited a while. She did not take anything off our bill. While there were issues with execution, the quality of 5he food seemed very good. We will go back at a later date as they donât seem to be ready for prime time.I am sorry for the less then perfect experience. Visited this food truck after many local recommendations. First time, the truck was not where the website said. Out of town on personal business and not posted to website. 2nd visit not where website said it would be but close by. Dirty rice and jambalaya (daily special) were not warmed through. Baguette slices were stale. Drinks did not have enough ice to be cold. Bacon shrimp was good with cream sauce, but definitely prepared ahead of time, not fresh. Not what we expected. Probably would not stop again.

If you are looking for a great sports Bar that is clean, has great people and staff, and great food, the Watering Hole is your place! Very clean bar with plenty of seating with great bar food. You can eat here and not put a dent in your wallet. Great place to meet friends as I have been coming here for at least 14 years! also great outdoor patio and Volleyball court!
