Centrally located in a partially grade II listed building just off Market Place in this historic town, Lussmanns Hitchin is the locals' fish & grill restaurant. Proudly independent, we bring ethical and sustainable dining to the high street. Dining is rel
Annual visit to Hitchin and this has to be the restaurant of choice. Again, an excellent meal. My wife had a Vegetarian option and I opted for Plaice with Prawns and a Spinach side dish. Arguably a little expensive compared with many restaurants but, in truth, value for money.Thank you for your review and feedback. Great to hear that you enjoyed your meal with us and you found it value for money. I hope that you choose us again next year. Kind Regards, Laura ([email protected])

The Musgrave Arms is a fantastic traditional pub in the beautiful village of Shillington, Herts doing lovely fresh traditional pub food. Brilliant gin and wine menus and frequent events with djs or live music. They hold caravan clubs and private events, i
Had a wonderful time at this traditional village pub. Excellent selection of drinks served by friendly staff (Stef and Krystle), delicious food cooked to perfection courtesy of chef Leigh. I felt really sorry for the young staff members Toni, Elesha and Charlie, who were working outside on the bbq in the searing heat (over 30°), all of whom didn't seem to have a break at all . Would highly recommend this establishment to everyone, well worth a try

Very friendly welcome, clean shop and waiting area but best of all - wonderful fish and chips.Generous portions of perfectly cooked chips and good sized tasty Haddock fillets in lovely crispy batter cooked fresh to order. It's the little things that matter, like putting a fat chip on top of the fish before wrapping it so the paper does not stick to the batter. Simple but effective. The shop is on a busy corner but don't do what I did and park on the pavement because there is ample parking behind the shop.I've eaten fish and chips all over this country (and abroad) and I rate Polcaro's as one of the best. Go on, try it, you'll be glad you did.

We went here with an elderly lady from church,or should I say older than us.We went in to sit down, the staff were very friendly, the tables and everywhere were really clean. We were served on china plates, fish and chips at pensioner rate,so abit cheaper than the proper price, we had a cuo of tea also in a china mug.We looked out the front at people passing by,market on other side of the road.I would recommend this to anyone to go here for a sit down meal or take away, usually a queue out side depending what time you go,sometimes you might have to wait for a table to sit down, this tells you how good it is.
