The Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler operates cruises on the Columbia River depart from the Cascade Locks Marine Park several times per day, May through October. Guests can enjoy memorable one or two hour narrated sightseeing excursions, weekend champagne brun
My sister was visiting from Minnesota and wanted to see the gorge. Being from the area I wanted to see the gorge from a different perspective, and the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler did not disappoint. We first grabbed some food to go from the restaurant who will package your food so you can eat on board (we did the two hour tour). We were greeted by a very friendly man who welcomed us aboard, told us what we needed to know about the ship, and eventually served us our beverages from the on-board bar. The two-hour cruise is worth it, but if you can only do one way, pick the westbound as the views are better. The captain provides commentary as the ship travels up and down the river, but isn't too loud or in your face, so you may still have a conversation. We went on Memorial Day and completed our cruise before the rain came in, which meant we got to see the kite boarders and wind surfers as well. Many came close to the boat and showed off. Overall, an amazing experience and a great way to see the gorge. All staff were amazing and made our time enjoyable. 100% will take future tourists on this cruise.Thank you for the wonderful review Josh, Come back soon! -Aaron

The clam chowder was stunning, so good! The fries were excellent. We had the halibut and chips. The halibut itself was superb. Fresh, moist, perfect. The coating didn't wow us, though. Wasn't bad, but wasn't of the same level as the fish. Else this would have been a 5-star review.
