Reviews on Pub food in Zermatt, Swiss Alps, Switzerland. When most people think of Zermatt, they think of one thing: The Matterhorn. This ultimate Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, first drawing visitors here in the 1860s. The village of Zermatt itself is lovely and car-free, with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to walk everywhere—there are electric vehicles and horse-drawn cabs.) Skiing in the region often lasts through early summer, but when the weather’s warmer, it’s a great time to hike.

We stopped in for a few beers and had a wonderful bartender from Holland! She made great recommendations for different beers. We had just a snack of fries, the atmosphere was fun and it was great talking with others who were traveling also!

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights in Zermatt and ate at Grizzly's 3 of those nights because the food is that good and the service was great! The homemade fries were good, the burgers were good and the spring rolls were so good I had them twice! The chef does an amazing job and the menu is far above your usual "bar food."

Indulge in the cosy, historic ambiance, feel the early stage of alpinism and toast to it. Trendy bar offering specialities such as tartar and home-made pasta.
I visited this bar/restaurant last year and liked it very much. So I decided to return this year. The place is still peaceful and pleasant, with quite good service. However, I was shocked at the price! My club sandwich was tiny and having to pay CHF 6.50 for 3dl of sparkling water is indecent. Yes, this is Zermatt, but my simple lunch (club sandwich, 2 dl glass of wine, water and coffee) cost more than CHF 50. A no go. Very disappointing.

We traveled with a group and were fortunate enough to dine in this lovely spot. We had a 5 course meal on a prix fixe menu. Everything was well prepared and styled. For those who did not wish to have the pork entree we were allowed to select other options. We also enjoyed some delightful Prosecco with dinner. Every course was beautifully prepared and succulent.
