Reviews on Pub food in Vashon, Washington, United States. Vashon is a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. It covers an island alternately called Vashon Island or Vashon-Maury Island, the largest island in Puget Sound south of Admiralty Inlet. The population was 10,624 at the 2010 census and the size is 37 square miles (96 km). There are no bridges to connect the island with the mainland, and this contributes to the island's relative isolation and rural character.

I love their pizza. I keep it simple with just mushrooms and pepperoni. They give you a good load of toppings, and their sauce is great. Its a true Mom and Pop restaurant. You can eat outside in nice weather or sit by the fireplace if its lousy. They even have a TINY liquor bar... probably seats like 6 people. We really like their lasagne too. And they have homemade chocolate cake. Not to mention several good beers on tap. (I like the Pike Place 'Kilt Lifter'. The only real downside is they a never open Sunday.
The Ruby Brink has finally arrived! After a long and arduous journey through a variety of challenges, Vashon has another 'go-to' place for family and friends. The trio of proprietors are working hard to get past the initial opening jitters, but had nothing but does to share with each new guest. We dropped in on a Saturday evening and were treated promptly and given an accurate wait time. Once seated, we enjoyed a well crafted cocktail as we waited for out meal. The decor is crisp, modern and warm. Waitstaff were prompt and engaged each table with just the right amount of attention. We started with the mixed vegetable plate, enjoyed the beef and lentil bowl and the roasted cauliflower sandwich entrees. Two cocktails, one appetizer, two entrees came to $65 plus tip. Definitely will go back and enjoy the newest venue on Vashon!

Every weekend, I take my dad out for brunch. Many times we go to the Hardware Store, which is noisy, overpriced, with indifferent service. Today we went to the Sportsmens, which has a reputation as the "hotspot" on weekend nights. Well, we were greeted warmly at the door, and proceeded to have an awesome breakfast! Really good, homestyle food: we had omelets, scrambled eggs, and my dad had a pancake the size of a car tire!! And it was delicious! Not pretentious, not fancy, but just good, old fashioned diner food. Our waitress made us feel welcome, she was so cheerful and positive, and the service was fast and friendly. Vashon! Ditch the HWS, and try Sportsmens again.
The Koelsch was outstanding. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I do like to spend outdoors under their umbrellas and enjoy their fresh and very good beers.
