Stopped in for a welcome pint or two of (delicious) Guinness while walking from Clonegal to Tinahely... One of the most beautiful idyllic little pubs I've ever been in, would love to have stayed longer, but had 7km more walking to do... Will definately drop in again next time I'm in the area, a real find...

I ate here with a fellow hiker while completing the Wicklow Way walk in 2019. This is a characterful pub that clearly is very popular with locals and tourists alike. The beer (chiefly Guinness and its fellow brands Hop House and Smithwick) was good, as was the pub-food menu. A folk singer kept everyone entertained and multiple flat-screen TVs were showing the US Open Golf while we dined. On other evenings no doubt these show hurling and football, all adding to a very "Irish" experience. A quick tip however: people in Ireland have their tea quite early in the evening. Tourists arriving after us, from 7:30 pm onwards, found it a little hard to obtain table seats for dinner. The pub managed in all cases to rustle up a bit more room so it worked out in the end for the late-arriving diners, but if returning I would get down to the place soon after 6 pm to be on the safe side.

Indulge yourself in our diverse menu offering everything from all time pub classics to Asian and ethnic dishes. Carvery lunch and a full a la carte menu served 7 days a week.
Stayed here while attending a wedding at Ballybeg House and it was just perfect. Our double room was large, newly decorated, nicely furnished and had a massive really comfortable bed. Its must be well soundproofed because we didnt hear a sound either from inside or outside. Breakfast was fresh with generous portions. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Its a lovely friendly old fashioned little village with fantastic scenery and would be ideal for walking tours. Will definitely return.
