My husband and I have been going to O'Shucks on Mondays for several years to get the three piece fried fish special and it used to be delicious. The fish was not greasy, very mild, and decent size portions with light breading. A few weeks ago when our orders arrived I was very surprised at what was put in front of me. The three pieces of fish were long rather thin strips of fish with more breading than fish -- not at all what we'd had in the past. We decided it was just a fluke, so we returned a few days ago and had the same experience. I pointed out the drastic change to the server, but don't know if anything will change in the future. We probably won't go back. It's a shame because that was one of the few restaurants in the area where the food was consistently good.

We went as a large family group, adults and children with varying tastes and appetites, were greeted and seated immediately. Our server, Takia, was friendly, knew the menu well, and gave good advice when asked. We had everything from Thai shrimp salad to stir fry to grilled chicken to well, almost everything on the menu. All of it as we specified, with our quirks and special requests done right. Takia was attentive and helpful, and wow, it was just a very good experience. Everything was delicious and we were happy! Fine dining? No, but wonderful comfort food in a family-friendly place., bright cheery atmosphere with good service!
Where to eat Barbecue food in Loganville: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We used to eat at Joe's all the time. We quit going over a year ago, but we thought we'd give it one more try. What a mistake. We walked in the door, and the first thing we saw was used napkins on the floor, one beside our booth, and one under the booth. When I went to the restroom before leaving the restaurant, there were two more pieces of paper in the hallway, and somebody's shoes sitting at the end of the hallway.Another problem is that the food is overpriced. The basic burger is $7.99; not too bad. But the rest of the burgers are $9.49. Ten bucks for a glorified burger? Too much.Another example of overpricing is the wing basket, 8 wings and fries, for $9.99. We opted to substitute onion rings for the fries. It was $1.99 extra. Twelve dollars for wings and rings? Ridiculous; and the rings were cold and greasy. The final straw are the extra costs for all add-ons. "Mix 1/2 & 1/2 sauces add 1.00/All Drummettes or All Flats add 1.00 per 10/Extra celery or dressing for .50". That's directly from the menu. Some of the sides--French Fries, Crispy Chips, Potato Salad, Macaroni & Cheese, Side Salad, and Cole Slaw--are 2.49 (highest in the area for sides). Sweet Potato Waffle Fries are 2.99 (1.49 to sub). Onion Rings (add 1.99 to sub). Soup (add 2.49 to sub)-- that means paying double for a side of soup (O'Charley's subs it free). The majority of the sandwiches are $8-$10. It's just too much, a poor value for what you get. There are some positives about this place, but the negatives far outweigh them.

Had not been there in 10-12 years, the wife and I decided to try it, hoping they had improved since they had managed to stay alive some 17-18yrs.The food was delivered cold after a 20min wait. Had to send fries and steak burrito back to have them replaced with hot versions. They are now just a bar and basically peddling beer and appetizers as far as we could tell.
