I keep meaning to post our thanks to the Crown for helping out with an important family event in March We were let down at short notice by a local establishment and with little warning the Crown put on a good spread for our important family event in the function room The food provided was high quality and plentiful The service was excellent and supportive All the staff were friendly and helpful It was always a favourite pub but this event went beyond expectations Overall thanks all round

Lunch with friends.Food: average.Service: okay apart from noted below. Soup de jour devoid of taste. No butter with bread. Requested, but waitress forgot. Had to go to till to remind her. 5 mins later it arrived. Soup cold by this time. Beef Stroganoff more like Gristle Stroganoff.Would never return.

Went here at the last moment for a meal with the family , wish we didnât. The meals we ordered were wrong fortunately fixed quickly nearly all the meals were over cooked and dry pity as the meals here used to be good . I doubt we will eat here again Hi,I remember your visit on this day. I resolved the problem as one of your starter dishes was incorrect ( chick chicken was put through instead of chicken wings with hot sauce)The reason I checked with your table if this was all correct was due to us training a new member of staff on the tills that day.I apologise that the meals did not meet your expectation. Further to our procecdures a check back should always be made, so I am sorry if this was not the case and the issue was not resolved before you leaving. Thanks,The Clydesdale Inn
