Nice restaurant with good food. We all enjoyed our meals. Staff friendly, place was beautiful inside. They had a wedding there earlier in the day. Probably one of the nicer places to eat in that remote area. Would go again.

The signs along the road promising home-cooked food at the Hancock House Hotel lured us for lunch, and I was very happy to be so lured. The menu is interesting, but we stuck to old favorites: a burger for him and a Reuben for me. Both were prepared perfectly and the accompanying chips and fries right out of the oil were crunchy and extraordinary! (McD eat your heart out!) It wasn't fancy, but who needs fancy in the middle of a road trip?
This is a nice spot if you're up in the country and want to have a beer with the locals. As for the food it's just mediocre. "Jamie" the bartender/chef/security/and Chief bottle washer is a very nice woman who puts her all into the food. She was spotted wiping down the grill and cleans as she goes.. We like that. This girl is a cleaning machine, and the place is spotless. One other visit we were waited on by a woman who said she lives near by. But she wasn't very friendly at all. When we'd see her working we just get back in the truck and go elsewhere. It's people like Jamie that make a place fun to go to. The wings are not the best, but not the worst either. I think the burgers are much better. The bathrooms need a total remodel but at least they're clean. The paper towel holder is broken, towels on the window sill. Toilet paper is on top of the tank. (This is a cheap fix.) Shame on you!One customer told us the place is for sale. Big bucks! And they're not going to put another penny into the place. Which makes me think things might change. I hope not. It's a nice place for a beer and has a nice atmosphere. We're going back. Just my two cents.
