This is a quaint and friendly place to visit. It is located adjacent to Shanhu Lake and the Lijiang River. They have a great selection of beers and cocktails. They also have excellent pizza, which is not easy to find in Guilin. The staff is super friendly and are English speakers. I also met the owner and he was a very gracious host that truly cares for the comfort of his guests. They also have three guest rooms, however, we did not stay there. Some of the guests that I spoke to who were staying in the guest rooms seemed quite happy with their rooms. I recommend a visit or stay at the Lakeside Inn.

Though they don't only sell German Beer (there is also a limited selection of Belgian, danish, austrian beer), the owners claim to be experts. Been here for breakfast twice now - the title says it all! Impressed with the options for a great price. One of the few western style breakfasts open in this area early in the morning,. Try their iced latte, yum! The girls all speak English really well and went out of their way to help with directions, even though we weren't staying at the hostel. Might go back for dinner tonight too.
