A friend who grew up in Gladstone suggested we eat here and we were pleasantly surprised. I am originally from Boston and like a thinner/chewier crust pizza, but the BLT pizza was phenomenal. We would eat here again!

Irish Oaks Bar and Restaurant

Irish Oaks Bar is part of the Irish Oaks Golf Course, and we are not sure which one we would rate higher....but for today...we are talking about the Restaurant.Parking is generally OK, you may have to fend off some golfers to park, but there is quite a bit of room. The restaurant and restrooms are usually very clean, the wait staff is/are very friendly and go out of their way to help. The food has always been great whenever we stop here, usually we swing by for a fish fry, and so far, we have never been disappointed. Credit cards accepted, take-outs/call-ins are OK, lots of tables for larger groups, but would advise a reservation. We heartily give this place a two-thumbs up review, with a cold beer in the river for you guarantee.Mahalo

This is a very popular spot in the area but my first visit. An old house has been converted to a restaurant and bar.A long list of fish are available on Fridays and I chose the grilled salmon. It was very busy so our wait was long for the food. The salmon was Ok but lukewarm and getting towards dry. Potato salad and coleslaw not cold and that worried me. Our server was very sweet but I was not thrilled with the meal.

Whenever we visit Escanaba, we stop here. This time we had their delicious smokey flavored reuben sandwich and the black salmon salad. Both were excellent. Extra pickles cost a dollar. The server (Jacob) was very knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive.
