Shopkeepers we met in town pointed us in the direction of this local hangout. We had excellent she-crab soup (not thickened broth but more like oyster stew) and seared tuna. I would have both items again, without a doubt. We also heard that the gumbo is good and saw several diners with that. If you are staying in Georgetown then you will want to go for a casual meal, lunch, dinner or snack - there are outside rustic-style tables on the water as well as inside seating with AC.

Stopped in Georgetown on our way to Myrtle Beach & wanted to sit outside. Restaurant is rustic, on the water & has an almost beach bar vibe. Service was good, food was good. Great for a ânot fancyâ bite to eat.

We vacationed in a condo at Belle Isle in July 2017. The Belle Isle Yacht Club Marina has apparently been under a management change recently as well as a change recently in the grille operation. My wife and oldest son ate here several times while we were out deep sea fishing and reported that the food was good, albeit a wee bit expensive for what was served compared to the previous grille operator's menu. It's now called Milligans and they did report that the food was fresh and tasty. Service was great and friendly according to my better half! Hours are (currently) Thurs-Sun from 11am until 9pm.This marina was at one point a GREAT place to have a boat as evidenced by "years past" photos in the Yacht Club downstairs history corner, but at low tide it's purely pluff mud now. At high tide, maybe 2.5 ft depth? We towed a 22ft center console here for our visit and opted to put in at the Georgetown Bay Street landing as coming in and out on the high tide is a 12 hour affair. If you are staying within Belle Isle, they do have a great cleaning station for the motors to flush out the saltwater, as well as several nice fish cleaning stations. Watch out for alligators, as they certainly do smell the fish guts! You can''t dump those there, so plan to take remnants to the Yawkey ramp to dump or back to your condo trash can. There is plenty of boat parking at the marina itself, but we opted to keep our boat at the big parking area just south of our condo as it was right around the corner where we could somewhat keep an eye on it. We used the wash station and fish cleaning stations multiple times though, and other than the pesky alligator wanting fish remains (which he DID NOT get), both worked great. The marina manager's name is JC.My understanding from a couple of homeowners is that Belle Isle Marina is being dredged this winter, so you may find after the dredging that it is the perfect jump off spot. From the Bay, I can attest that it is certainly conveniently located, and I hope they get it back in order soon! **Feel free to contact me if you have questions. The pizza is surprisingly good and can be bought by the slice. However, the service is not so good. When there was confusion about the price for extra toppings the error was blamed on a "brand new" server instead of admitting the menu was incorrect. The manager finally adjusted the price down because she admitted it was not correct on the "newly printed" menu. It was 7 PM with just a few people dining although many cam in for take-out.
