Irish pubs are mostly happy pubs , and this is one of them. nice selection of drinks , we tried the ones on the taps whice were very good. the bar stuff is very nice and keep the bar area and the glasess always clean. Buzzy atmosphere with mixed local and toursits.ref the food - well , mixed feelings. we tried hamburgar , pizza & wings. the burger was very dissapointing as it look and taste like the frozen one you buy in the supermarket so we abendoned it quickly , the rest was ok , but we didnt jump out of the roof. yet , people were ordering lots of food around and looked happy.concoulsion - a good place to go and enjoy a good time out , but be advised not to arrive very hungry.

WE have been coming here for many years, when the Army dental convention is in Garmisch. It is an amazing hole in the wall, off the beaten track...and always a delicious and fun atmosphere. This time, I had the flammkuchen, Italian style and it was excellent...the perfect crackery crust...the others in our group had the curry and the Weiner schnitzel...all enjoyed their dinners....I love the atmosphere, more like the places of my college years in Kent, Ohio...and Tiberios, the waiter from Portugal...WOW! Easy on the eyes of course, but a knowledgeable and fun host. 70's music played in the background and it was fun to try and guess who was the singer/band...love this place!

My family and I ate here for lunch on a Sunday during holiday in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. My daughters enjoyed the chicken nuggets and potato wedges. I had the Avocado burger and Rasberry ice tea. My favorite food at Shaka is the potato wedges, white dipping sauce, and their homemade Rasberry ice tea. Our friend had the mojito...it was also very good.

Have you seen the Disney film Frozen? Okay now picture this scene when the princess enters a chalet in the middle of the blizzard and so does the hero of the film shortly after. Not these bits but the whole isolation factor of this place sprung to mind as we approached up a hill in a January blizzard, at mid day, the place looked empty until we opened the door to a very warm Bavarian welcome in the alps. We only stayed for a drink but the food smelled great, if you are in the area, cold and hungry then pop in here, you won't be disappointed.
