We are a small cosy family friendly pub and restaurant within the small village of Luthermuir just south of Laurencekirk. We use fresh locally sourced ingredients to provide the best meals we can in a friendly environment.
We have been lucky enough to visit the Scots Corner many times and the food and service is consistently brilliant. Our most recent visit was a Sunday that we couldn't be bothered cooking and we remembered that the Scots Corner did a "carve your own carvery".We popped round and decided to go for the 2 course carvery for 2.The service from the staff was friendly and welcoming and the food arrived quickly even though they were very busy.We both had the roast beef and all the trimmings as a main and we were not disappointed. The beef was melt in the mouth and the vegetables were very yummy and lots of different trimmings to try out.We then both had the same dessert too! Waffles with caramel ice cream. I'm not a huge dessert fan normally, but we both said it was delicious and I polished off the lot!Definitely give them a try if you are in the area What a fantastic review. Thank you so much. We are absolutely delighted that you enjoyed your visit so much. Your ongoing support is very much appreciated. Kind regards on behalf of Sue and the team.Kind regards Zander

Hickory Restaurant @ Brechin Golf Club Always expect a warm welcome in lovely surroundings in a great atmosphere. Visitors Welcome
Although the restaurant had been recommended we had a much better meal at the Northern Hotel. The folks at the golf club restaurant could take some cues from the staff at the hotel. Was also charged more for items which were listed on board for a lower price but did not realize until after we left. The food was nothing special.

Met by friendly staff who quickly showed us to our table. They were very knowledgeable about special. Menu board. Usual pub grub with a few specials from starters through to sweets. Although we all ordered different meals these arrived altogether piping hot. Only fault is when advertising steak pie to me steak pie is made with pastry cooked on top, not stewed steak with a pastry slice on top (which many other restaurants do) steak pies not steak pie with a soggy bottom..Meals enjoyed by all.

Brechin's foremost real ale pub & restaurant. In CAMRA's Good Beer Guide since 2005. Great food freshly prepared by our chef Stephen Field served in the relaxing and welcoming environment of our large wood-and-stone open-plan bar/dining area. A great sele
Group of 6 out to celebrate one lady’s Birthday tonight. Chose from the”Early Bird “ menu...2 courses for £13 or 3 for £16. I had a black pudding and goats cheese tower to start and it was absolutely delicious!! And what a serving!! Most of us then had curries, all delicious, no complaints, and service with a smile and some friendly banter as usual from Heather. All in all a lovely evening.
