We enjoyed a great dinner at Rincon Brewery. We just ordered appetizers but the food was delicious and filling! We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and it was great to see so many locals in the restaurant. I would definitely go back and try their burgers.

We had a table that over looked the courtyard which was nice. I wasn't hungry so I ordered a shrimp cocktail which arrived with a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which was well prepared. The waiter was pleasant and made sure that we were pleased with supper. He checked during the meal to see if we needed additional drinks etc. Prices are reasonable.

In Carp, want beer...think BrewLab!! Love their Red Roots bready brew with a ginger bite, Kaffa Queen coffee stout and all their unique brews that come out every couple weeks! Aside from the namesake Island Brewing Co and late Rincon, BrewLab is the only brewery in town and the only one doling out daringly innovative small batch, hand crafted and mourner wateringly delicious brews! Popped in here one saturday night when it seems that nowhere else in Carpinteria is open. But even though it was the only choice it's the best. It is a fairly basic, slightly ramshackle bar but it has warmth and character. The barman is cheerful and chilled out. The locals are friendly and talkative. The music is good. The beer cold. It has two well maintained pool tables and there's free ping pong and darts. Even the pub dog wants to be your friend.
