We enjoyed sitting out on their patio area a couple weeks ago. I cannot remember the name of our waitress, but she had long strawberry blonde hair and she was fantastic. Very nice and attentive without being pushy. As we were meeting family that I hadn't seen in 15 years, we wanted to take our time. We all enjoyed a couple of their beers. I wasn't too hungry, so had their spinach salad. It was a nice balance of spinach, pickled onions, sugary pecans and bacon. I would go back. They had trivia that night which seemed quite popular.

Great local beers on tap and good selection of health conscious food.
We were so pleased to have found this place in Black Mountain. We ordered onion rings, the blackened tuna filet sandwich, and the Columbia Knob (a grilled chicken sandwich with pineapple). The french fries that came with the tuna filet were great; my husband got a side salad with his chicken sandwich. Our waiter Brad couldn't have been nicer or more efficient, and we were allowed to have our beagle on the outdoor seating deck. Of course, your dog has to be small enough to lift over the railing, because the only walking access is through the restaurant. It worked out great for us.

I get 'dragged' into many brew pubs and I don't drink beer. So, the place and atmosphere mean a lot to me while the beer means a lot to hubby. This location was perfect. It was family friendly so even the kids can come - they have games ready to play.It is set up with different seating areas so you choose the type of seating that makes you comfortable. Hubby hit the jackpot with his beers and I really enjoyed my glass of water :-)
We traveled from Asheville to Black Mountain to try a different restaurant, which was closed. I forgot about this ânew place.â Entering we were hit with the smell of an old restaurant. No air, 90 degrees, single box fan, but comfortable. I ordered a âConey.â The chili topping was lacking in seasoning, no flavor and very bland. I deconstructed the coney, but it didnât help, still bland. In addition to the coney, I ordered, jalapeño fritters, that were slightly over cooked, but edible. My son ordered a kids grilled cheese sandwich. Wait for it, it was prepared with rye bread. Children have a hard time that the flavor of caraway seeds impart to bread. The young man that waited on us was on point. Very polite and very personable.
