There is an extensive and interesting menu at this Italian restaurant, for example Salmon Arancini. The food was all excellent, everyone praised their choices including the two teenagers. Portions are on the generous side without being huge and the non-pasta mains come with mixed veg and potato sides. I hope it stays around, but we were one of only two tables on a weekend lunchtime. It deserves to be because the food is very good and is clearly freshly prepared and cooked well. Well worth a visit.

We have just arrived home from a delicious meal at La Pergola. Our visiting friends we delayed in their journey to see us so we didnât arrive at the restaurant until gone 9pm. Choice was fantastic, staff were very attentive and the food was delicious! The puddings are to die for!!

We are local to this restaurant and have had very good experiences in the past. However, our experience this time was definitely not one I wish to repeat. The service was very slow, it was far too long for our little ones to wait. There were no highchairs available which is less than ideal and the staff weren't very aware or caring with regards to when we got one. Eventually we managed to secure one ourselves when another family left. I asked for crayons for the kids but they didn't materialise. My pasta was stone cold which was such a shame as the flavours were very good. There was no way I was going to complain and wait another half hour for another one. I asked to order the desserts as we had to go. We had been waiting so long for the other courses and my daughter had to go to bed! The waitress said 'of course ' then proceeded to clean all the empty tables and polish cutlery without taking our order. I had to get up and ask again. We then had another long wait for the desserts. I was about to get ready to leave but asked one more time and the desserts came immediately. Short staffed? unusually busy? I don't know but with the exception of the younger, blonde waitress no-one seemed to care that much. I hope it was a one off bad night.

I ordered via their website ( no additional charge, unlike Just Eat). It was ready within 30-minutes. It was still hot. Tons of salad, a few more green chillis would have been good, very generous portion of Shish chicken and Kofte, satisfying and good flavour . A 10/10. I will definitely re-order.
