First time here and it won't be the last one! We started with a tomato salad with sourdough bread, delicious! We then have two different pizzas, two vegetarian ones. The pizza base was thin and crusty, and the pizza in general full of flavours. Easily one of the best ones I have ever tried. You don't end up super full-up, which is great. One pizza per person with a starter is more than enough. The service is superb and the staff very friendly. We turned up without booking in advance and they got us a place. We will definitely come back soon!

We are small family run business. We serve only fresh, daily prepared food locally sourced. Come and experienced Italian food at it's best in heart of Wanstead
A wonderful Italian restaurant with authentic dishes and fantastic service. The food is delicious, homemade and plentiful for both the specials and the classics. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is lively with warm-hearted waiting staff. A great spot to return to time and time again.

'The Taste of Italy' is becoming a great success story for Casa Pipino: they bring the traditional cuisines of various Italian regions and their wines to Chigwell. And on this Thursday night, they didn't disappoint. The decor remains unchanged: a rustic charm with warm, earthy colours and delightful prints on the walls. Three of us booked for this safari through the cuisines and wines of Tuscany. There were four courses, and each one was a pleasant revelation. Stuzzichini, which comprised of schiacciata with grapes, crostatina and chicken liver pate, bruschetta with fava beans puree, involtini di melanzane, and salame finocchiona; the contrasting flavours and textures were wonderful on the palate. This was followed by Pappardalle con Porcini, which was flat pasta with a lovely sauce and wild mushrooms; again, the flavour was outstanding and perfectly prepared. For our mains there was a choice: two of us went for the Cacciucco, which is mixed seafood in a garlic-tomato soup; and one of us went for the Fiorentina, which is T-bone steak. The seafood was exquite in taste and preparation; the T-bone steak was on the right side of rare and tender. These courses were all washed down with the appropriate wines of the region and were splendid. This brilliant culinary adventure was concluded with a gigantic melon basket filled with fruit and cantuccini biscuits which were wantonly dunked in a superb dessert wine. We have already booked for the next 'Taste of Italy', which is bound to be another successful gastronomic safari of Puglia. Not only was this an unforgettable delight, but their recent jazz night was a huge success too. Seb regaled us with his unique phrasing on his sax, and Sylvia seranaded us with her lovely voice and innovative renditions of jazz that included Bossa Nova numbers. Yet again the food was out of this world, and the chat and laughter with Alfie, Sylvi, Kevin, and all at Casa Pipino elevated our dining experience to the stratosphere. Grazie mille to all at Casa Pipino and we'll be seeing you soon. Until then, keep smiling and be happy. Ciao.
