My wife and I ate dinner here twice during our weeklong stay in town. Both meals were excellent in terms of taste, value and service. Calabria style tends to be homestyle cooking, rather than multi-layered haute cuisine. Fresh ingredients make every dish superb. Fresh grilled fish, pasta, and "Kipos antipasti" were all excellent. Kipos Seems to be one of the few restaurants that doesn't list Pizza as a main specialty. Serviced by Luca, with a smile and fluent English, made it a pleasure. We will be back!

My daughter had dinner here, and we had some of the best pizzas we have ever had. The pastry was soft and chewy and toppings just perfect. And the staff were very friendly and helpful, and we got to sit in an outside area which was non smoking. Just a perfect night.

This is a very casual, street front drop-by pizza place, not a real restaurant. Tables are mostly on the street. But the pizza is good and they have local homemade wine that is simple but fresh. We liked it and went back a second time as a result. Donât expect a full-fledged restaurant but as long as you have that expectation it will be a nice find in Scalea

Restaurant with high quality fish specialties, excellent typical Calabrian cuisine and pizza, strictly Neapolitan.
Today 24/06/13 we have gone to have lunch to this restaurant after a recomendation of the pasta. After sitting for 2 minutes a guy what is suposse to be the responsible or the owner came to ask if we already knew, we asked for some more minutes and he came back almos few seconds after so we understood that they were in a hurry. My boyfriend ordered for a pizza and I ordered for pasta with seefood. he was served after not much time and we wait a bit for the pasta to come but... the pasta came when he had already finished the pizza (around 30 min after). I complained with the waiter not to have served us at the same time, that it was not normal that we were eating separately, inmediatly the "responsible" came to said that the pizzeria is not the same that the kitchen and that it was like that I tried to tell him that at least they could have warned us and said " come on eat your pasta! buon appetito!" and turn back instead of apology he treated me like a stupid girl so we decided to leave the restaurant (without eating the pasta). he said that we had to pay the service and we said no, that we will pay the pizza and that's all and then he said "ok you don't want to pay? then leave I will call the police" when we left he came for us in the middle of the street and insisted us to pay for the bill and I repeated we will pay you the pizza and that's all, in that moment he started threaten us and he said "if you don't pay me I will hit your boyfriend", he is not italian and he didn't understood what the "responsible" repeated three times... "is up to you, I will hit your boyfriend, is that what you want?, I don't care about spanish people" ... at the end we decided to came back and pay 10 euros for a pizza and a bottle of water. it did't avoid that he continued insulting us. So... a really memorable afternoon. Just for information we have NEVER left a restaurant before, but in this case we wish we could have done it before.
