We have been to Aspera before and will definitely be returning again. 6 of us visited Aspera for my husbands birthday. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted and taken straight to our table. The food is excellent and good size portions. The staff are attentive, polite and comical at times (in a good way), making you feel like you are not just another number. Our daughters have bought us a voucher as a present and cannot wait to return.......Dear Customer, thank you for taking your time to write a lovely review of our restaurant, the food and staff. Birthday dinner with friends. 6 of us, all enjoyed different dishes! Service very good, and made a fuss of when itâs your birthday, lots of singing by the staff! The strawberry daiquiri is delicious! Love their pan fried prawns too! Hubby loves their kleftico dish! Definitely best restaurant in Rayleigh.

Second time we have been there on a Sunday and all I can say is try it, food is amazing and staff are very friendly. The restaurant was very busy with 2 large parties but this did not have any affect on food or service which I will say again was amazing amazing amazing!! Will be back very soon

We booked for 6 people for a 50th birthday a month in advance. Paid our £60 deposit. Was excited for our night there as I had been before and loved it. The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and even the owner came out to fix the heater for us as we went in Feb and was in the marquee. So with that I booked this for a friends 50th birthday surprise.. we got there and was seated on a small table that was set out for four... we have to squeeze six people around the table.. we asked the waitress why it was small as they was expecting us.. she said no this can get 6 people around it.. we asked to speak to the manager, whilst waiting the table next to us said that there is no way that is a table for 6 as they wouldn't be able to get off or out of their table if they squeezed another person on. The manager came, raised his voiced and said no. This is a table for six, it didn't matter that it was set out for four and if the table next to us wanted to get up we would have to get one of our party to keep getting up and let them out. everyone was looking over. He was rude and caused a scene that didn't need to be caused. All we wanted was to be moved.. but I guess they had our £60 deposit already, what does he care, right? That's what it felt like. Eventually we got moved after the raised voices and the massive scene he caused. It's such a shame as the owner and staff are so lovely but its put us off of coming again and the guests that we had with us that had never been before said they wouldn't be returning. He put a real dampener on what could have been a lovely evening.
