We often eat at authentic Mexican restaurants in Arizona and now have found a true authentic Mexican restaurant in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. I ordered "Enchiladas Shrimp" with a tomatillo sauce and was amazed at the flavor being similar-but-better than my familiar Arizona restaurants! Large tasty-seasoned shrimp (about an inch big) appeared inside each of 3 corn tortillas...I've never tasted such perfectly seasoned shrimp inside a tortilla. The rice and bean accompaniment was also delicious, with small bits of corn in the rice...yum. Huge serving as well. My husband ordered a beef chimichanga that was filled with beef steak and rice/beans encased in a perfectly lightly fried tortilla. He did not care for the cheese sauce served on top. There are so many other interesting menu items that we will certainly return! My only negative was the atmosphere was a bit lacking, and hopefully as they grow, this will improve.

We go here a lot, mostly for lunch. Service is fast as they assemble your customizations as you request. The ingredients are always fresh. Portions are generous so light eaters can split an entree. The chips and salsa or queso are always fresh. They also have a loyalty program. It can be a little noisy but the high ceilings and warehouse chic is pretty much the norm in a lot of places these days.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times. The last two times have been abysmal. So sad that this is happening with bland food and flavorless salsas. I order the El Patron Shrimp Enchiladas and they were small (6" tortillas) with imitation crab and only a couple tiny shrimp in each. The price was high for what you got. The only positive thing going for it was the outdoor seating! Won't bother to return.
