I don't think we've ever had a bad meal here. The food is delicious and the portions are huge as many Mexican restaurants are. The atmosphere is comfortable and nicely decorated. Service is better some nights than others, but overall is pretty good.

No complaints with the food. I ordered chicken nachos and expected to get chips with cheese, beans and chicken. No cheese that I could tell and no beans either. Chicken, some sauce, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. It was very tasty but not at all what I was expecting. My husband had beef fajitas, he thought they were good. Service was very quick and price was reasonable.

Taco John's should not have an advertisement on the exit sign, the restaurant is a good way north of Interstate 80 and then, surprise, a number of blocks west on US 6. The route is not marked, good luck finding it. After a u-turn and with help from our gps we made it. Service was slow, they were slammed. I saw them packing up a couple of huge carry out orders. I can't fault the food, I like Taco John's, but this was a poor choice for a quick meal when driving on I-80. Well, it was kind of nice to stand a while during a long road trip.
