In 2011 its population was 1,307. It is situated at the foot of low hills, about 2 km from the Ionian Sea coast. It is 3 km west of the beach village Laganas, 5 km southeast of Machairado and 9 km southwest of Zakynthos (city). The village suffered great damage from the 1953 Ionian earthquake.

We have visited Laganas 3 times now and each visit have eaten in Sizzlebang. The food has always been cooked to perfection and staff always friendly with excellent sense of humour. Gorgeous food, complimented by a gorgeous hostess. The family are a credit to the island. Highly recommended.

If I could give Bon Appetit more stars I would. I felt so impressed I arrived home today and needed to write a review to share my experience with others maybe looking for a traditional place to eat. Wonderful vegetarian food (I had the vegetarian moussaka..delicious!!) Excellent customer service, very warm, friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant, if you are looking for a taste of fresh homemade greek food with a relaxed family feel. In my opinion the best restaurant in Laganas.Dear Liz,We really appreciate that you wrote a review for your experience in Bon Appetit! Superb food and service. Right on the beach with comfortable seating. Cannot wait to return to sample more of the menu. As a coeliac I was very impressed with the extensive choice of gluten free options And the server was knowledgable. Thank you

The perfect restaurant for quality food. We were on holiday for 2 weeks and ate here EVERY night, the menu was so varied- anything from Italian, Mexican and even genuine Greek cuisine. The food always blew us away, 100% would recommend this family friendly restaurant to anyone after cheap, amazing food. The staff were warm and welcoming and the owner Yanis is what made this restaurant special (Whilst waiting for your food ask him to do one of his card tricks). Cheers for the amazing service and food guys!
