My daughter, two grandchildren and I stopped in there about 3:30 PM on a Wednesday for a late lunch or early dinner. There were just a few booths occupied. Our server came over and took our drink orders, no problem there. It seemed like a while before she came to take our food orders. I ordered the Margaritas Famous Taster because it's been quite a while since I've had Mexican restaurant food and wanted to sample. One change I did request was to substitute a soft corn taco for the hard shell. When my meal came it had the hard shell. The server noticed immediately and said to keep the hard shell, but she would get me what I ordered. She never did come back with that. The chicken burrito, cheese enchilada, black beans and rice were all delicious and ample. In fact, I asked for a box to take half of it home, got that, but the server never mentioned the taco mixup. Well, we got our bill, still no mention of the taco mixup, I took the taco home and ate it later, after the shell had softened. I know what you're thinking, "much ado about nothing", but if we're going to pay for service, we should expect it. In fairness I should also add, my daughter absolutely loves this restaurant and its food.Hello there Mike. We are sorry you are feeling this way. Thank you for the feedback, we really do appreciate it! We hope you will come back and give us another try soon.

Gusanoz is owned by Maria Limon and Nick Yager and we pride ourselves on making the vast majority of our food from scratch using ingredients that would be found in a home kitchen in Mexico. We offer many authentic dishes as well as some TexMex favorites.
The atmosphere is great and the servers excellent and prompt. My partner ordered the Carne Asada and thought that the steak was overdone and the rice was served cold. I ordered the Fajitas with portobella mushrooms. The portion was very large and I thought that it was tasty. I would go back but dining partner was disappointed in the food. The noise level was soft enough to have a conversation.

... that the most unique tacos I've ever had would be in this tiny Vermont town? I had fresh lake perch tacos, pork belly tacos and watermelon grilled with chili powder. Amazing! They have an extensive list of craft beers/ales and the specialty drinks are fabulous!
