Dunellen is tiny borough in central NJ.There is nothing worth mentining about this this borough except the beautiful, large old time houses on South Washington avenue. In the past decade, a good number of Latinos have moved in there and as as result, shops and small eateries catering to them have comeup. However, the atmospher in and around is such that you won't feel comfortable going to these. Therefore, although had seen this place literally hundreds of time and wanted to give it a try, I never went beyond thinking.Last Friday, it was very heavily raining and therefore instead of going far, I decided to give this place a try.We were greeted nicely. The waiter was also courteous and friendly. The food was average, nothing out of the box .Also, this is a BYOB place.Thank you for your review.

Whenever we are busy all day and are too exhausted to cook at home, we think of spicy Mexican comfort food. This is one such restaurant that we came to, based on the recommendations of some family members who live very close by to this place. We decided to meet up here, and are so glad we did.We were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. All the food was fresh, spicy and delicious, and the portions were extremely generous. Next time we know to share so as not to have any left-overs.Chips and a trio of salsa dips (from mild to medium) started us off accompanied by Mango Margaritas infused with chopped Jalapenos. I savored my Chillies Rellenos, while the others had Burritos de Mole and Chicken Fajitas. It was too much food for one dinner, so now we have enough for another meal. This was a small, cute and quaint family-run place filled with brightly colored fiesta décor from Mexico. It was also one of the best casual Mexican places we have been to in the area. Since it is not too far from home, we would be willing to return with family and friends.

Not a whole lot to tell. We have eaten at many Mexican restaurants and this one is not great. The dining room is clean and bright although crowded with tables. The food is quite average and a somewhat overpriced resulting in lesser value. Had to wait for the chips which are greasy and tasted stale. Menu was limited, chairs have hard wooden seats, when crowded the room was very noisy, for some reason they showed a sporting event on the dining room monitor, and there is practically no parking except for driving around to search for a spot. The guacamole was okay but could have used just a bit of heat. Staff was friendly. Not worth the visit.

No joke...best tacos in NJ. Expensive at $13 for two but worth every penny. Guacamole and tasty, salty chips are rock star. Only complaint would be that margarita was just ok.
