Stopped for lunch on a Saturday. Arrived about 11:30, and glad that I did, as they got quite busy, by the time I left. Service was hit and miss. Server took drink order right away, returned with the water right away. Waited for quite awhile, and another server walked by and asked if I had gotten any chips and salsa yet? I said no, so she went and got them, when my server showed up with the margarita. He then offered the chips and salsa, if I wanted them. Weird that everyone else being seated around me was served chips and salsa right away. I felt like I was not a local, so....it won't matter. Placed my food order, and had to wait quite awhile before it was served. Ordered the chimichanga off the lunch menu. Was served with lots of beans, rice, and salad, but the chimichanga itself was pretty small. Food was just ok. Salad tasted old, and not fresh. Was finished eating, and needed a box to go. Waited, and waited, and no server. Finally the same server that had brought the salsa and chips walked by, and I asked her for a box for my leftovers. Then I still had to wait awhile before my server brought the bill. I would have used a credit card, but with how slow things were going, paid cash. Questionable, if I would return here again.
Where to eat Bar food in Bedford: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I can say with confidence that Bedford's El Ranch Del Burrito makes as good a burrito as any I've had since leaving New Mexico. They're a bit pricey, but not outrageously so. My favorite is the fish (tilapia) burrito with the spicy salsa.

Be very Careful what you order. The Mexican food was rated good by our group. The Italian very average and only slightly warm at serving. The potato soup was just bad. The salad bar is small, but good and kept fresh. The servers do a very nice job and are attentive. Will continue our search for a good place to eat ...next time in Bedford.

My wife and I enjoy the taco salads at El Compadre. They are not too much food so that you feel stuffed but enough to enjoy an meal out. We can both eat for under $20.
