Hibiscus Cafe

Driving from Dallas to Fort Collins, CO this weekend and stopped here for lunch. Almost didn't get out of the car, as the strip center looks a little sketchy, but once inside, I was very glad we stopped here. I actually got the recommendation for this place from the site Culture Trip, which is a new favorite when we're on the road. This was one of the top restaurants for Wichita Falls and I'm glad we went. We thoroughly enjoyed the gyro and fries, the place was clean, the service was great and prices reasonable. It appears to be a family run business that's been in this location for decades and popular with the locals. I definitely recommend this place based on our experience, and the similarity to the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" was inevitable.

This is a standout restaurant for Mediterranean fare. Daily specials always present a dilemma for choosing a favorite as every option is outstanding. Side dishes are not your ordinary choices with fresh fruits among the options. Salads are fresh and crispy with a variety of in-house dressings to choose from. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable as to food preparation and attentive to your every need.

I had the gyro plate & where as I did expect it to come out like a gyro, it was served in pieces. It was still yummy. The service was good also.

The Simple Greek

First of all, the service here is great. The employees are always super nice and helpful. There were a few things I had never tried and they let me sample the sauces. I got a chicken gyro with feta, olives, garlic cream and the cucumber tomato mix(which btw is yummy). I utilized the coupon on Facebook for June and got a buy one get one. I will say $8.00 is a little high without sides or a drink, but with the coupon it didn't bother me too much. I also tried the Greek Fries. They were shut your mouth amazing. I was a little nervous at first because I had never had vinegar and cheese on fries before. I was not disappointed. While I was there a woman suggested some kind of lemon potato side for my next trip. It is a bit pricey, but really, really tasty.
