Lavash has excellent Middle Eastern fare. I love their gyro and fry combo, it's delicious, as is their salad. The only downside I have is that it sometimes takes quite awhile - sometimes super-fast, but last time I ate there it was 35 minutes to get my (simple) order. That's too long for lunch.

We specialize in rustic Italian cuisine with a modern flare. Handmade cheeses, bread, pastas and desserts as well as house cured salumi combine with an artisan wine list in a warm environment. Please note that we are open for lunch for groups of 8 or more
On my recent visit to Columbus, I couldnât wait to dine at Z Cucina again so I asked our friends to make a reservation. I was so-o looking forward to the scallops again. However, this visit was a bit disappointing. The restaurant was not very busy on our Thursday night visit, but the weather was gorgeous so we sat outside. I ordered the summer salad and the eagerly anticipated scallops. The salad was fresh and flavorful but the scallops were a bit over cooked and extremely salty from the prosciutto they were wrapped in. I had to scrape off the prosciutto for them to be edible. Also the crab salsa lacked flavor and had too much mayo. However, the pesto risotto was wonderful. I was glad they had some gluten-free options for hubby. I was really looking forward to that dinner and disappointed that it didnât live up to my memories of the last visit. We want all of our guests to have an amazing time with us. We certainly should have replaced any dish that did not meet your expectations. I hope to hear from you directly so we can learn more about your experience.

My wife and I eat at LaShish a couple times a month. Since my last review, the owners have updated the dining room with new flooring, furniture, and decor. Along one wall, there is a bench with pillows and tables arranged to accommodate couples or larger groups. As for the food: I usually have lamb chops, and theyâre the best!! The order is five nice sized chops seasoned and grilled to perfection. They are served with rice and steamed fresh veggies. The shush kabobs are also excellent â made from filet mignon.Desserts are typical of Mediterranean cuisine including baklava, tiramisu, and cheesecake. We have gotten to know the management, and they are gracious and generous people.

Candy-striped petunias & rainbows of flowers in sidewalk planters brighten the entryway of this quaint eatery offering both inside, and outside Mediterranean dining nestled along the street, under a canopied porch. Friendly staff greet you. Limited parking is available in metered spaces along Grandview Avenue just steps from the restaurant. We chose to eat inside at comfortable, cushioned booths by the window. Surprisingly a little pillow was tucked in the corner. Service was prompt, and in no time, we had attractive plates of hummus, baba ghanoush (my favorite), pita bread, and appetizers that included homemade pickles, tart beets, & Greek olives.Food presentation was excellent, & the flavors delicious! Four of us shared the âVeggie Mazahâ Family style dinner for $45. Generous portions included falafel (shaped like small donuts & fried to perfection), vegetarian grape leaves (hand-rolled and seasoned with âfamily spicesâ), & fatayer (spinach pie) â all served over tasty cabbage salad and yellow rice on a huge platter. Sauces on the side included a refreshing creamy Tsatsziki with cucumber, garlic & mint. For those wanting spicier flavors in the vegetarian dishes, perhaps that option could be added to the menu. There were also tantalizing meat dishes of chicken, beef & lamb. For complete menu listings, check the Mazah web site! They also offer carry-out. Since we wanted dessert, we packed some of that food to go. The âNammouraâ dessert was our favorite â a âsemolina sweet cake made with coconut & almond sweetened with honey syrup.âNotably this eatery was very popular! Service was outstanding. And the food was placed on the table as soon as it was prepared â served by smiling & attentive staff. Patrons dining at longer tables near us were having a good time, & singing when someone got a special birthday cake delivered! Ladies will be enchanted by the decorative bathroom â spacious, with a strikingly beautiful platform of sand & sea life décor below the sink! If you have time, stop by the nearby âAccent on Natureâ store (a few steps away), if you want to browse an interesting ânatureâ shop! They have rocks, crystals, fossils, polished stones, geodes, jewelry, garden art, bird feeders, local art, and so much more! And there are free, evening, summertime âpartiesâ â âThe Grandview Hopâ which happens the last Saturday of each month (June, July, August, & September) from 5-9 pm! Check the Grandview Hop website. Itâs a âsidewalk market & outdoor block partyâ covering half a mile along Grandview Avenue â with live music, beer garden, art, food, & more!
