Small family owned, old world vibe. Made from scratch. Homemade Greek yogurt. Weekly email. Fresh fish specials. Fresh from scratch pastries. Come see the family!!
We've lived in Oro Valley a couple of years now and, to be honest, don't head up to Catalina that often. Took a drive up there today and while looking for someplace to eat found this gem. We both had the Gyro on the lunch special and enjoyed it. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the service was great and the prices very reasonable. At the end of our meal I asked to see the menu agian and paid more attention to their dinner offerings. The lamb dishes caught my eye, as did the octopus. And they have a fishermans stew! We will be returning for dinner in the near future.

Been eating here for years. After traveling in the Mediterranean area this place is still my local fave. It's a comfortable space, decorated simply with many color photos of the countries around the Mediterranean area. My favorite is the vegetarian plate. The babba ganoush and fried cauliflower are perfect. My friends love the combo plate. The service is usually always prompt and friendly. I swap out the pita with cucumber slices.

Went to Chef Alisah for dinner. I ordered the Stuffed Cabbage($17), which is Stuffed Cabbage Leaves, Ground beef, rice, onions, salt, pepper, and sauerkraut, all wrapped in little rolls. Another ordered the Goulash($14) which is Beef cut up in squares. Cooked with salt, pepper, red bell peppers, olive oil, and parsley. Served with homemade white butter rice, fresh homemade bread, and cabbage salad. Also, 5 pieces of fresh homemade bread come with the meal which was very good; chewy and good flavor. The Stuffed Cabbage had wonderful flavor and the Goulash was tender and tasty. Chef Alisha came and greeted us and everyone else who comes to the restaurant. The meals were prepared quickly.

Kibbeh Nayiah is raw lamb with bulgar wheat. It should be pink when served. This kibbeh was muddy brown, an unappetizing color; it had the texture of pureed meat, and was drizzled with a mediocre olive oil. Ugh. The other dish we had was - I can't remember its name - stuffed eggplant served over a HUGE bed of rice. Edible. We MAY return to try some of the other items. We've moved to Tucson from Detroit, a mecca for middle eastern food, and have been looking for a good middle eastern restaurant even since arriving.
