Jacks is part of Pleasant Hill. Ask anyone who lives here to meet at Jacks and not only do they know the place but they have been there and they like it.The menu is based a lot on Greek food but does have a lot of variety.The also recently opened an adjoining tap room where plenty of beers are available on tap. Not surprisingly, all of those beers are also available in the restaurant.

We used a Groupon and took a party of six in for dinner one Friday night and it was actually quite fun! Don't expect to get out of there cheap but if you have the money and time to put into it the experience is quiet fun. I think we were there two hours and still had to leave between the first and second bellydancing acts. I recommend the six course dinner for under $30 since you get a good broad range of appetizer, main course and dessert. It gets quite dark in there so not really sure exactly what my meal consisted of but it did taste good and the leftovers the next day were a real treat.

My wife and I finally tried this restaurant. We love Mediterranean food but had yet to find a place in the area that we liked. We finally found one. We both had the chicken kebab plates. They were cooked to order and were delicious. Fortunately, we arrived very hungry, because there was a lot of food. Charcoal broiled chicken perfectly cooked, wonderful rice, hummous, salad and yogurt. Yum. The chef, who is Turkish, really knows his stuff. Not to be missed is the baklava. The owner said that we had to try it, but we were skeptical. All too often they are sticky, overly sweet lumps. These baklavas are the best we've had.

This was our first visit to Taheri's. We selected primarily due to its convenience to where we were staying. The service was good but the food was average. The special halibut did was not well seasoned. The others in our group felt that it was not worth going back.
