Tried Matbah Mediterrean Restaurant for the first time this past weekend. The food was good but the service was just Ok. Our meals took a long time to be served. Menu had decent variety and relatively inexpensive prices. Atmosphere is Ok and the owner greeted us upon arrival. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the sea bass. Both were good. If you are looking for a chnage of pace in terms of cusines and a casual atmospere it may fit the bill. Not sure if I would return soon but would consider going back at some point in time.

This restaurant is part of the culinary program at Southern NH University. The room has the feel of a luxurious hotel dining room, and operates on a special schedule (check ahead). There are themed dinners, some based on classic French cuisine, others based on national cuisine. It's best not to go with the expectations you would have dining at a commercial operation. Food quality is very good, service is what you would expect from culinary students. You have the option of BYOB, and the prix fixe menu is very reasonable. It's fun to go with a group of friends, and interact with the enthusiastic student staff!
