We were in Los Angeles on a business trip and stopped by this restaurant for some Italian food. The food was excellent and the service was great. The calamari appetizer was amazing. The spaghetti and meatballs special was excellent. The linguine with Fruti de Mari was also excellent. There was a good selection of wines, and the markup on the wines was very reasonable. This is a good selection for a great Italian meal.

Cleo Hollywood

Just as Cleo did 10 years ago as the first to showcase Mediterranean dishes from various countries of the region, the new version of Cleo now leads the charge on a new dining experience and trend where classic mezze meets sustainable and local seafood.

This is a restaurant I have visited and enjoyed several times over the years. I guess this is the “new” Cleo. It surely didn’t impress. The food and service were generally good, but that is the only thing positive. The noise level was off the charts and really uncomfortable. The menu has changed too. Don’t order the grilled artichoke appetizer. It wasn’t an artichoke. It was an artichoke heart and it was bad. I was so relieved to get out of there with my hearing still intact and a headache I didn’t have when I arrived. Then I was treated to a final insult when the valet parking charged me $20.00, despite a sign that clearly said $10.00.This was an unpleasant evening and a bad experience. This city has many fine restaurants. Do yourself a favor and avoid Cleo.It is unfortunate to learn your recent experience with us did not live up to your expectations. It's important to our team that our guests feel comfortable while dining, so we are disappointed you felt otherwise. We appreciate you sharing your honest feedback, and we hope you will give our manager an opportunity to better address your concerns by emailing [email protected]. Thank you.

Owned and operated by a Greek family, who obviously know how to prepare great Greek food. Small and unassuming across from the Hertz lot at LAX (Arbor Vitae and Airport Blvd). We were staying at the Renaissance and didn't have a car waiting for a flight the next day. Didn't want to take the 20-30 min hike to In-N-out and back and nothing on the menu in the hotel grabbed us. Someone had told me about this place years ago and it was time to try it. About a 10 min walk each way and got two spectacular salads to take back to the hotel. Their menu is big however and next time we will probably eat in. Fancy no, delicious yes!

The Little Door

Two simple wooden doors open up to quite a buzz in an otherwise romantic courtyard, where a colorful crowd hangs at the bar and lingers at coveted patio tables. Inside, seats spread throughout the candlelit house-turned-restaurant with intimate decor. Org

We had several items to try. This is a special dining place. Not your average restaurant. I would recommend this place for that special evening or for a great dinner.
